Ellen A. Rockhold

Ellen A. Rockhold, 96, formerly of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Hope Creek, East Moline, Illinois. Ellen will have a private burial in the Oquawka Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Ellen was born September 20, 1922 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lon Simpson and Fay (Anderson) Simpson. She married Raymond Rockhold in Kahoka, Missouri on October 16, 1938. She worked at the Case Company cafeteria several years before that company closed. She then worked for 28 years at Deb's Drive-In. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Douglas; siblings; Juanita Schmidt, Clyde Simpson, William Simpson, Lon Simpson, Unice Simpson, and Delano Simpson. Survivors include one son; Orin (Irene) Rockhold of Milan, IL, grandchildren; Kerri (Shaun) Druckmiller of Oak Park, IL, Aaron (Kym) Rockhold of Nashville, IN, and Tim Rockhold of Rockford, IL, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two brothers; Gary (Bonnie) Simpson and Rock Island, IL and Steve (Judy) Reeder of Kewanee, IL. No public services are planned. Those wishing to leave a memorial in Ellen's memory, may give to a charity of their choice.
