Etta Marie Costner

Etta Marie Costner, age 85, of Gerlaw, passed away at 11:55 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2011, at the Roseville Nursing and Rehab. She was born on February 21, 1926 in Calipatria, Ca., the daughter of Hobert and Fanny K Cochran Ziegler. She attended two years of college. She married John A. Costner on June 15, 1945 in San Diego, CA. He preceded her in death in September of 1978. Etta enjoyed traveling, the Gordon Behrents Senior Center in Galesburg, and spending time with family and friends. Etta is survived by one daughter, Cathy Amend (Tom) of Norco, CA, two sons, Larry S. Costner (Alice) of Mira Loma, CA, David M. Costner (Karen) of Monmouth, and daughter-in-law, Linda S. Costner of Gerlaw. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, John H. Costner. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 24 at Countryside Bible Church. Interment will be at a later date in Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth, Id. A memorial fund has been established for Harbor Light Hospice and Gordon Behrents Senior Center in Galesburg.
