Eva Doss

Eva Doss, age 91, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth. She was born on November 8, 1916, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of John and Eva Duke Welcome. She was reared and educated in Galesburg, attending Galesburg Schools. She married Lewis Doss on September 6, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1973. Eva was first employed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown, Iowa. Eva worked at Western Stoneware for 36 years until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Monmouth. Eva enjoyed activities at Strom Center. She is survived by one daugher-in-law Fumiko Adam of Monmouth, one granddaughter Tina McCullough and Jack of Elgin, Illinois and one grandson Clifford Adam of Monmouth. One great grandson, Zachery McCullough and one great granddaughter, Mika McCullough, both of Elgin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Clifford Adam, one grandson Richard Adam, and a number of sisters and brothers. Services:A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Friends may call on Thursday and Friday at Turnbull Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Monmouth Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established for Strom Center in Monmouth. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements
