Evelyn J. Ewing

Evelyn J. Ewing, age 61, of rural Roseville, Illinois, passed away at 11:10 am on January 26, 2016 at her rural residence. Evelyn was born on May 19, 1954 in Kansas and is the daughter of Porter and Dorothy Jane Hall White. She was raised in Claycomo, Missouri where she attended schools and graduated from Winnatonka High School with the class of 1972. She first married Richard W. Brannon, Sr. and was later married to Steven L. Ewing on April 19, 1997 in Monmouth, Illinois and he is surviving. Evelyn is an over-the-road trucker and began work with Munson Transportation in Monmouth, Illinois. She then drove for Wenger Truck Lines and then for VanEerden Trucking in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lastly she drove for EverFresh Transportation in Grand Rapids where she currently was employed. Evelyn loved to go fishing and loved to shop. She is a member of the Raritan Baptist Church and her family and grandchildren were her main interest. Surviving is her husband Steven Ewing of Roseville, IL, two daughters, Victoria Brannon of Good Hope, IL. and Angelique Ewing of Kansas City, MO, two sons, Porter Brannon of Kansas City, MO, and Richard Brannon, Jr. (Tabitha) in Florida. There are twenty-two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren surviving. Also surviving are five extended daughters; Amy Wallace of Monmouth, IL, Jamie Umphres of Kirkwood, IL, Melissa Peterson of Billings, MT, Misty Bowman of Galesburg, IL, and Jen Klingler in Missouri. She is preceded in her death by her parents. Visitation Her family plans visitation and will receive friends at Turnbull Funeral Home from 9:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service on Saturday. Funeral Service A funeral service is planned on February 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Cremation is then to be accorded. A memorial fund is being established for either the Disabled American Veterans or the Buddy Program of the American Legion.
