Frances A. Bruyn

Frances A. Bruyn, age 68, of Lone Tree, Iowa and formerly of Monmouth, passed away at 1:42 pm on Saturday May 23, 2015 at her residence in Lone Tree, Iowa. Frances was born on November 7, 1946 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the daughter of Hillard A. and Elinor F. Payne Lefort. She was raised in Monmouth where she attended local schools and Monmouth High School where she graduated with the class of 1946. Fran was formerly married to Rodger L. Bruyn. Fran was a devoted mother and parent to her children always enjoyed attending family events and games for her children and grandchildren. She was the owner and operator for several years of Mode - O - Day, a women's apparel store in Princeton, Illinois. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, and reading. She also loved to bake and to cook for the family. She is survived by her two daughters, Christa (Eric) Davidson of Riverside, Iowa and Angie Burrows of Princeton, Illinois; and her son, Doug Bruyn of Morris, Illinois. There are eight grandchildren surviving. She has two brothers, Jim ( Ida ) Lefort in South Dakota and Dan (Carol) Lefort in Clermont, Florida. She is preceded in her death by her parents, and one brother, Everett Lefort. Services:A graveside service for the committal of ashes for Fran is planned on Saturday May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Warren County Memorial Park. Cremation has been accorded. Her family will receive friends at the cemetery for the half hour prior to the graveside service on Saturday. A memorial fund is established for Jamieson Community Center in Monmouth, Illinois.
