Frances L. Gearhart

Frances Lucille Gearhart, age 86, of Monmouth, passed away at 11:17 am on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born on September 21, 1926 in rural Stronghurst, Illinois, the daughter of Axel Wilhelm and Teckla Viola (Johnson) Waring. She attended primary school at the Chattanooga Grade School and graduated from Roseville High School in 1944. Frances married Robert Leon Gearhart on July 22, 1945 in Stronghurst, Illinois and he preceded her in death this past April. She was employed as a " Blue Girl " at the Monmouth Hospital for a number of years. Frances was a member of the Monmouth Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Frances is survived by three daughters; Roberta Kay (Prentice) McMahill, Janice Sue (James) Meyer, and Terri Lynn (Larry, deceased) Churchill. Also surviving are two sisters; Marguerite (William, deceased) Livingston and Alice (Gary) Smith; one brother Kenny Waring (Darlene, deceased), ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Ruth Waring and brother Carl (Eloise, deceased) Waring. Services:A memorial service will be on July 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Monmouth, Illinois. A memorial fund is being established for Monmouth Nursing Home.
