Frank E. Humphrey

Frank E. Humphrey, age 102, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 4:55 am on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. Frank was born on April 9, 1916 in Lewistown, Illinois and is the son of Frank Henry and Bertha Lee Poland Humphrey. Frank was married to Erma Nadine Stufflebeam on January 26, 1936 in Peoria Heights, Illinois and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2003. Frank was a welder by trade and first worked at Caterpillar Company. He later worked in several mines as a welder and lastly was with the Illinois Department of Transportation in Monmouth, from 1966 to 1976 and his retirement. Frank is survived by his son, Steve A Humphrey of Linn, Missouri and his granddaughter, Jennifer Humphrey (Jessica Kierson) of Lawrence, Kansas and grandson, Mike Humphrey (Amanda) also of Lawrence, Kansas. There are two great granddaughters, Penelope and Eliza surviving. Frank is preceded in his death by his parents, wife, and his son, David. Cremation has been accorded and no visitation or funeral is currently planned by his family.
