Gary R. Foust, age 73, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois on December 25, 2012 at 10:42 am. Gary was born on October 21, 1939 in Blandinsville,Illinois and is the son of Aquilla Benjamin Foust and Kathryn Isabelle Moore. Gary was raised in Roseville,Illinois and graduated from Roseville High School and attended Eastern Illinois University. Gary married Janet Ann Michelin on March 23,1963 at the American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach, California. He was a postal carrier for 33 years in Manhattan Beach. Gary was a farm boy at heart farming for the Kane family in the Smithshire, Illinois area. His generosity was outstanding and he was a great gardener sharing his produce with family, neighbors and friends. Gary served in the United States Army in communications during the Korean Conflict. Surviving is his wife Janet Foust of Monmouth,Illinois, a daughter Lisa (Steven) Leviton of Long Beach,California,a son Doug Foust of Henderson,New York, four sisters Sharon (Jerry) Walter of Prairie City, Indiana, Beverly Jean (Don) Waller of Templeton, California, Donna Stopplewerth of Colchester, Illinois, Kathy Foust of Colchester,Illinois, and a grandson Brian Leviton of Long Beach, California. He was preceded by his parents, his brother and one half sister. Services:Funeral services will be 10:30 a m Saturday, December 29th at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 at Turnbull Funeral Home. Interment will be in St.Mary's Cemetery in Monmouth, and a memorial fund is established for either the Make a Wish Foundation or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
