Glen H. Wallace, age 82, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away at his Oquawka residence on Saturday Nov. 3rd. at 12:15 pm. Glen was born on June 12, 1930 in Fair Grove, Missouri and is the son of Elmer Haskell and Leta Opal McCurry Wallace. Glen was born and raised on the family farm near Fair Grove, where he attended local schools. He married Delores J. Eland Johnson on February 19, 1967 in Los Vegas, NV. She preceded him in death on June 27, 2011. Glen was employed many years at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant in Middletown, Iowa and worked there until his retirement in 1995. He loved to garden and attend family get-together's. He also liked to see and visit with his friends and is known to have always worked hard all of his life. Surviving him are two step sons, Gregory M. (Lynda) Johnson of Burlington, Iowa and Randy L. Johnson of Middletown, Iowa. There are six step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Also one brother, Joe (Mary) Wallace of Fair Grove, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers. Services:As per his wishes, a celebration of his life will be on Sunday November 11, 2012 at the home of his step son Greg Johnson located at 411 Hagemann Avenue in Burlington, Iowa from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. All friends and relatives are welcome and invited. Cremation has been accorded.
