Glenda M. Woods

Glenda's Video Tribute Glenda Marie Woods, 37, of Galesburg, died at 3:56 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Glenda was born October 18, 1976 in Galesburg, the daughter of Gary and Debbie (Hayburn) Abbott.  Glenda graduated from Galesburg High School in 1994.  She attended Carl Sandburg College and became a LPN.  Glenda worked at several different nursing homes in Galesburg.  She married Jon Woods on June 2, 2005 in Monmouth, IL. Glenda is survived by her husband, Jon of Galesburg; her parents, Gary and Debbie Abbott of Galesburg; a son, Dalton Adams of Galesburg; a daughter, Miranda Adams of Galesburg; a step son, Tyler Woods of Oneida; and one brother, Gary (Jenny) Abbott of Galesburg.  She is also survived by three nephews, Kaden, Jalen, and Mason. Glenda loved animals.  She was always bringing home stray animals.  She also enjoyed candles, loved Twilight, Charmed, and the Supernatural. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home.  No visitation is planned.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
