Gloria F (Sage) Hillman

Gloria F. Hillman, age 87, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at Seminary Manor Nursing and Rehab in Galesburg, on Wednesday May 14, 2025 at 1:54 PM. Gloria was born on July 1, 1937 in Monmouth and is the daughter of Roy and Wilma (Brissey) Sage. She was raised in Monmouth where she attended local schools and Monmouth High School where she graduated with the class of 1955. Gloria married Robert " Junior " Hillman "Sarge" on July 16, 1955 in Monmouth, Illinois. Robert passed away on October 20, 2018. Gloria was a 911 Dispatcher for the City Monmouth and Warren County. Her career has spanned twenty-seven years as she retired in 2008.  She has been an active member of  " Lighthouse Baptist Church " in Monmouth and it's Lighthouse Ladies Ministry in three places, Puerto Rico, Fairborn, Ohio, and Spokane, Washington to include Monmouth. In Monmouth, Gloria also was the one who facilitated the  " Pay it Forward Ministry " at her church. Gloria also has been active in the activities of Strom Center in Monmouth. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Hillman of Monmouth, and Donna Hillman Humphries and Lamar of Festus, Missouri. Her son survives, Ralph Hillman and Maria of League City, Texas and two brothers, Vergil Sage of Monmouth, and Larry Sage  and Dorothy of Cartersville, Georgia. Also surviving are six grandchildren and numerous nieces and great grandchildren  Preceding her in her death are her parents, husband Robert, and her son, Charles " Chuck" Hillman.

A funeral service for Gloria is planned on June 6, 2025 at 10:30 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Her family plans visitation prior and will receive friends at the funeral from 9:00 am to 10:30. Interment is planned at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery next to her husband.
