Helen H. Danforth

Helen H. Danforth, 78, of 663 S. Academy St. Galesburg, died at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday June 6, 2006 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.   She was born on October 25, 1927 in Abingdon, the daughter of Arthur and Helen Farrell Hallbick.  Helen married Joseph Danforth on September 1, 1962 in Galesburg.  He survives.  Also surviving are 2 daughters:  Mary (Bob) LeSchofs of San Diego, CA and Teresa (Glenn) Knott of Ellisville, IL and 4 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.   Helen graduated from Abingdon High School in 1945.  She worked for several years as a bookkeeper for Golden Cream and then at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.  Mass of Christian burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bruce King officiating.  Visitation will be on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary being prayed at 8 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
