Helen P. Jackson

Helen Pauline Jackson, age 99, of Tucson, Arizona and formerly of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away in Tucson, on March 26, 2010 at the Villa Maria Care Center. Helen was born on December 16, 1910 in Monmouth, Illinois and was the daughter of John A. and Mary Alice Keane Bohlander. Helen was raised in Monmouth and attended Monmouth Schools. She was married to Fred Jackson on October 19, 1940 in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1985. Helen was a homemaker and also was employed as a clerk at both Brown, Lynch, and Scott and Spurgeon's Department stores in Monmouth, Illinois. Helen is survived by her sister in law Dorothy Bohlander of Galesburg, Illinois and her nephew and niece Patrick [Linda] Bohlander of Davenport, Iowa and Vicki Mohr of San Antonio, Texas. Also her cousins John [Tami] Bohlander of Silvis, IL, Christopher[Heather] Bohlander of Rock Island, IL, and James Bohlander of Moline, IL. are surviving. Services:A graveside committal service is planned at 11:00 am on Mondayat St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Monmouth, IL. No visitation or viewing is planned by her family. Interment will be in the St.Mary's Cemetery.
