Herbert C. Trego

Herbert C. Trego 82 of Monmouth, Illinois passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Roseville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Roseville, Illinois. He was born on October 28, 1928 in Stronghurst, Illinois to Ralph & Ida (Johnson) Trego. He was reared and educated in Kirkwood. He married Agnes K. Griffin in Monmouth, Illinois and she survives. He was in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad for 46 years until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working on lawn mowers in his spare time. Surviving are his daughter Lori Pearson (Steve), son Kevin Trego (Lisa) and two step sons Michael Sage (Kay), and Greg Sage all of Monmouth. 11 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren He is also survived by one sister Dorothy Lober of Blandinsville, Illinois and one brother Clyde Trego of Wichita, Kansas and several nieces and nephews. Proceeding him in death were his parents, two sisters and three brothers. Services:A Private Family Grave and Military Honors will be at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery on November 22, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. There is no visitation hours planned. Turnbull Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
