Ida J. Pedersen

Ida J. Pedersen, age 58, of Oquawka, passed away at 10:27 a.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at her residence. ?She was born on July 1, 1950 in Salt lake City, Utah. ?She is the daughter of James M. and Joan Varney Jones. ?Ida was reared and educated in the Ottumwa area. She first married Carl Stufflebeem in Milford, Utah in 1966. ?She then married Jon C. Pedersen on June 23, 1973, in Galesburg, Illinois, he survives. ?Ida worked as a nurses aid for a time at the Applegate in Galesburg, and then at Pinewood Nursing Home in Monmouth. ?She enjoyed being outdoors and camping. ?Most of all, Ida enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Surviving Ida is her husband Jon C. Pedersen of Oquawka, three daughters; Crystal L. Stufflebeem of Ottumwa, Iowa, Lisa L. Oringderff of Montrose, Colorado, and June Ann Pedersen of Oquawka. ?Also surviving is step mother, Moreen Jones, Brother Donald Jones, three step sisters, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. ?She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one son. Services:A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., February 28, 2009, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka. ?Interment will be in Oquawka Cemetery. ?Ida's family will be present from 10:00 a.m., till the time of service at 11:00a.m., to receive friends for visitation. A memorial fund has been established for the Henderson County Health Department.
