Inez J. Lefort

Inez J. Lefort, age 84, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 12:50 pm on September 7, 2008 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Inez was born on August 1, 1924 in Monmouth, the daughter of Joe (Bob) and Jessie Bollman. She was first married to Floyd Sloss on January 2, 1943 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her on October 10, 1972. She later married Clifford Lefort on December 8, 1973 in Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1992. She worked in her early years at Western Stoneware Company in Monmouth, the Country Kitchen, Woolworths Five and Dime, then at Wells Pet Foods from which she retired. She enjoyed her coffee drinkers every morning. She loved ball pools and watching NASCAR. She loved her red, white, and blue tree that Bobbi Sue and Brandon created fro her which she never took down and wasn't going to until the troops came home. Survivors include her daughter Sue ( Bob ) Prochazka of Monmouth, Illinois. Her Grandchildren Kathy ( Dave ) Logsdon, Dr. Brian ( Johanna) Sloss, Tara (Eric) Hanson, Bobbi Sue Prochazka, Brandon Prochazka Page ( Tom ) Leindecker, Jana Prochazka, and Brad Prochazka. Three Step Daughters Lucy ( Jerry ) Garner, Pat Garner, and Mary Jo Poole. One Sister Irene Reynolds and sister in law, Pat Bollman. Numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and one very special nephew, Todd Lefort. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, One sister Alieen Corney, One brother Joe Bob Bollman and her son Jerry Sloss Services:A funeral service will be at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth on Wednesday September 10th at 2:30 pm. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family plans to receive friends at Turnbulls on Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service. Memorial funds have been established for either Strom Center of Monmouth, or Bradley University Parkinsons Research.
