Iris L. Bruington

Iris L. Bruington, age 95, of Coldbrook, Illinois, went to join Dale at 7:05 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2008, at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois. Iris was born on August 10, 1912, in Cameron, Illinois the daughter of Jesse B. and Frances Hoy Mitchell. She was reared and educated in Cameron and attended rural schools. Iris married Dale E. Bruington on August 23, 1932 in Springfield, Illinois. He preceded her on November 30, 1988. Iris was a farm wife and devoted help mate with her husband. She was a member of Coldbrook Christian Church. Her family, friends, and her home were her main interests. She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Iris is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale one sister Lucille and two brothers Jesse and Art. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Interment will be in the Mosher Cemetery. Her family will be present to receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Turnbull's. A memorial fund is being established.
