J. Mchale Gerald

J. McHale Gerald, age 25, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away on October 13, 2014 in Galesburg, Illinois. McHale was born on July 26, 1989 to Jennifer Bowling and Richard Gerald. He grew up in Little York but moved to Galesburg his freshman year. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 2007. He currently worked for Howe's Overhead Door in Knoxville. McHale enjoyed football. He loved watching the Chicago Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks. He loved the outdoors, family gatherings and being at the lake. McHale loved his friends like family, and he cherished the time with his nieces. He also excelled at construction. McHale was always kind, generous and willing to give a helping hand. He had a contagious smile, and he never met a stranger. McHale is survived by his mother Jennifer Bowling of Galesburg, father Richard Gerald of Little York; one brother Drayson (Kristen) O'Connell of Granville; three sisters Natasha (Dave) Nelson of Peoria, Jenna (Jason Wieneke) Gerald of Knoxville, and Nikki (Quincy Morrison)Gerald of Galesburg. Four nieces Kamiya and Aliyah Morrison; Alex and Ella Nelson. One nephew Isaac Nelson. His boy Boomer and his baby girl Nala. His grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-great grandmother Elizabeth L. Ralls. Services:Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday with Rev. James Epperson officiating at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,memorials may be made to his family.
