James H. Foreman, age 78, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 3:55 am on July 26, 2009 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Jim was born on July 31, 1930 in Monmouth, where he was reared and educated and attended Monmuth Schools and High School. Jim enlisted in the Army where he served as an Engineer obtaining the rank of Sargent and serving four years. He married Betty Millard on June 9, 1955 in Monmouth, and she passed away on October 2, 1968. Jim was employed at Kitch's Locker in Monmouth, as a butcher for a time. He also was employed by J.I. Case at the plant in Burlington, Iowa. Jim was a life member of the J.W. Clendenin Post 2301 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Jim is survived by his two daughters Pam Henry and Sue Huber and husband Roy, both of Abingdon, Illinois. His two sons Alan Foreman and wife Deb of New York, and David Foreman and wife Ann of Laingsburg, Michingan. A step son Robert foreman also survives. There are twelve Grandchildren and a number of Great Grandchildren. Two sisters survive, Diane Kane and Jim of Monmouth, Illinois; Carol Millard and Butch of Oquawka, Illinois. Three Brothers survive Jack Foreman in Ft.Madison, Iowa, David Foreman and Paul Foreman, both of Monmouth, Illinois. James is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and an infant brother. Services:A graveside committal service with military honors is planned on Monday August 3rd, at 11:00 am, at the Monmouth Cemetery in Monmouth, Illinois. Cremation has been accorded. No viewing or visitation is planned. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
