James A. "Jamie" Standard

James A. Standard, age 31, of Springfield, Illinois and formerly of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at his home on February 13, 2013. James was born on April 27, 1981 in Monmouth and is the son of James R. and Judy M. Williams Standard. Jamie was raised in Monmouth where he attended local schools and Monmouth High School graduating with the class of 1999. He then attended College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and graduated from South Illinois University. He greatly enjoyed animals and especially dogs. He enjoyed sports, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his parents, Judy and Jim Standard of Monmouth, Illinois, one sister Sarah (Ken) Gagliano of Plano, Texas and one brother Jeff of Toledo, Illinois. His grandmother Sarah Standard of Oakland, Illinois and two nieces Teresa and Addison Gagliano, are surviving. Services:A visitation is planned on February 23, 2013 at Turnbull Funeral Home from 10:00 am to Noon. Cremation will then be accorded. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for the Western Illinois Animal Rescue.
