James R. Seats

James R. Seats, age 80, of Smithshire, Illinois passed away at 6:54 AM on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born on June 22, 1940 in Centralia, Illinois the son of Everett Neil and Leona Amelia Williams Seats. He was raised in Biggsville where he attended grade schools and graduated from Biggsville High School in 1958. Mr. Seats worked in construction as a drywaller. He was a member of Local #192. Mr. Seats enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.

James is survived by one daughter, Dianna (John) Kennedy of Monmouth, Illinois, one son, Darrin (Becki) Seats of Bartonville, Illinois, granddaughter Olivia Kennedy, grandson, Ross (Cynthia) Kennedy, and one sister, Vivian Oaks Smith of Lexington, Missouri. He is also survived by three nieces Debbie (Fred) Link, Anita (LeRoy) Brent, and Marilyn (Terry) Grafton. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Everett Seats, Jr. and John Seats.

Cremation is being accorded. No services are currently planned. Memorials may be left to Western Illinois Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 145, Monmouth, Illinois 61462.
