James W. Vestal

James W. Vestal, 60, Monmouth, died Friday, April 9,2010, at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill. He was born September 28, 1949, in Monmouth, the son of William J. and Mildred G. Vestal. He married Sue Ann Harwood on June 16, 1968 in Monmouth. He was reared in Monmouth and graduated from Warren High School in 1968. He worked as a cement mason for 31 years. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and grandchildren Surviving are his wife, 4 children; Bill (Mary) Vestal, Milan, IL; Mike (Krista) Vestal of Gerlaw,IL; Chuck (Cindy) Vestal, Andover,IL.; Catherine (Rodney) Stacker, Monmouth, IL; one sister Janie (Lloyd) Buchanan, Chandler,AZ. and 7 grandchildren, Jenna & Jessica Vestal, Charlie Vestal, Maggie & Molly Vestal, Darren & Ryan Stacker. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Interment will be in Center Grove Cemetery in Kirkwood. His family will be present to receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 am prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established.
