Jeffrey L. Hartman

Jeffrey L. Hartman, age 42, of Oquawka, Ill. passed away at 9:26 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2009, at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth. Jeff was born May 11, 1966, in Burlington, Iowa the son of Larry Lee and Carmen Loper Hartman. Jeff attended Henderson County schools graduating from Union High School in 1985. Jeff served his country enlisting in the Army serving from August of 1985 to August of 1989. He served in the 82nd Airborne. Jeff enjoyed being with his family. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and being out-of-doors. Most of all he loved being with his children. Jeff is survived by his parents Larry and Carmen Hartman, two sisters Aletha Brownlee and Buck, Carmen West and Jason, two brothers Bill Hartman and Larry Hartman and Dawn, children Jeffrey Hartman, Micheala Hartman, Tyler Hartman, Tressa Hartman, and three step children Bradley Murphy, Aaron Murphy and Andy Parsons, eight nieces and nephews all of Oquawka. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka. Interment with military honors will be in the Oquawka Cemetery. Jeff's family will receive friends at Turnbull's on Friday, February 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund is being established.
