Jeffrey Dean Strange, age 51, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away on June 18, 2013 at the OSF Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois. He was born on June 3, 1962 in Monmouth, the son of William and Marilyn (Howell) Strange. He attended schools in Monmouth. Jeffrey was a sandblaster and painter working on barges and water towers in the Illinois and Iowa for many years. He loved fishing, camping, and was a fan of the Washington Redskins. Jeffrey was also an avid fan of sprint car racing and Steve Kinser. He is survived by five sons; Kevin (Holly) Strange of Monmouth, Jeffrey (Krystal) Strange of Pampa, Texas, Brian Strange of Monmouth, Illinois, Justin Strange of Biggsville, Illinois, and Nathan Strange of Galesburg, Illinois. One daughter, Jacqueline Strange of Stronghurst, Illinois, and one step-daughter, Krissy Aylor of Pampa, Texas. Also surviving are three sisters; Leann (Jim) Anderson of East Peoria, Illinois, Terry (Gary) Ward of Monmouth, Illinois, and Missy (Butch) Engle of Monmouth, Illinois. Jeffrey is also survived by a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Janet, and one brother Weewill. Services:A funeral service is planned for Saturday, June 22 at 11:00 am at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. A visitation is planned one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Monmouth Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established for the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
