Jeffrey S. Webber

Jeffrey Scott Webber, 73, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at his home.

Jeff was born November 8, 1952, in Galesburg, the son of Lester George Webber and Shirley Josephine (Madigan) Webber. He married Nancy Sue Vitali on June 16, 1979, in Galesburg. She survives.

Also surviving is one daughter, Kristy Webber of Bloomington; Illinois two sons, Jason (Brooke) Webber of Abingdon, Illinois and Zachary Webber of Galesburg; four grandchildren, Bella Rose Tucker, Myli Webber, Khloe Bell, and Landyn Webber; three brothers, Tim (JoAnn) Webber of The Villages, Florida, Tom (Kendall) Webber of Galesburg, and Jim Webber of Galesburg; and one sister, Leslie Haynes of Galesburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister-in-law, Amber Webber; his in-laws, Sue and Louis Vitali; and his brother-in-law, Louis Vitali.

Jeff graduated from Galesburg High School in 1971. He worked as a forklift operator for Butler Manufacturing for 34 years.

Jeff enjoyed life and had many interests. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Dew Dusters at Bunker Links Golf course for more than 25 years and proudly recorded three holes-in-one. He loved his Corvette and had a lifelong appreciation for auto racing and classic rock music. He was also a devoted sports fan, cheering for the Boston Celtics, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Minnesota Vikings.

Above all, Jeffrey loved his family. He enjoyed holidays, family cookouts, and simply being together with those he loved. He especially treasured being “Pops” to his grandchildren. Jeffrey also enjoyed coaching his son Jason in baseball and was proud of the team winning the city championship in 1996.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2026, with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Chaplain Jordan Knight will officiate.
