Jennifer M. Frisby

Jennifer Margaret Frisby, age 36, of Little York, Illinois; passed away at her Little York residence on September 21, 2013 at 9:20 pm. She was born on November 16, 1976 in Monmouth and is the daughter of Jack Hawes and Deborah Lynn Welch Horner. Jennifer was raised and educated in Little York and graduated with the class of 1995 from Yorkwood High School. She received an Associate of Arts Degree from Carl Sandburg College and graduated from Western Illinois University in 2005 with a major in Sociology and a minor in English. She is currently working on her Master's Degree in Social Work and Family Counseling. Jennifer married Richard H. Frisby on July 1,2006 in Little York,Illinois. He survives. She was first employed at the Robert Young Treatment Center in the Quad Cities as a technician and later worked as a councilor and in outreach for Catholic Charities, area wide. Jennifer also was an advocate for all special needs of children locally and for the handicapped. Her primary work was as caretaker for her son, Bennett and husband, Richard. She was a caretaker for all of her family and everyone who knew her. Jennifer is survived by her husband, Richard H. Frisby and son, Bennett J. Frisby both of Little York, a sister Jayme Horner of Monmouth, and three brothers, Jason (Sarah)Horner of Kirkwood, IL., Joel Horner of Cerritos,Ca., and Joshua (Kim) Horner of Happy Valley, Oregon. She is also survived by her father, Jack H. Horner of Monmouth, IL, two aunts, Cindy Bennett of Little York and Sally (Paul) DuClos, of Anchorage, Alaska, and an Uncle, Fred (Susan) Welch in Texas. A number of nieces and nephews and cousins also are surviving. She is preceded in her death by her mother, her grandparents, G.V."Bud" and Onnalee Horner and Fred and Marilyn Welch. Services:Friends are welcome to call at Turnbull Funeral Home on Friday and Saturday prior to Noon. A private family service is then planned. Cremation is being accorded. A memorial service for the public is planned by the family at 10:00 am on Wednesday October 2, 2013 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, with family visitation for the hour prior to the service....visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 am Wednesday. Interment of her ashes will then be in Monmouth Cemetery following. A memorial fund is being established for the benefit of her husband and son, and may be left at the funeral home.
