Jerimy Alan Brockett, Sr., age 28, passed away Thursday morning, July 24, 2008, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Jerimy was born on July 29, 1979 in Burlington, Iowa. He is the son of Roger Allen, Sr. and Cheryl Lynn Bundy Brockett. Jerimy was reared and educated in the Henderson County area and attended Union School. He married Amanda Evens in Oquawka, Illinois, in July of 1998. Jerimy worked all over the Henderson and Des Moines County areas. He settled down for the last three years, working at Alfa Gomma in Burlington. Jerimy loved building and driving race cars at the 34 Raceway with the assistance of his brother, dad, grandpa, Uncle Marv., and area kids from Gulfport. He loved coaching and playing baseball with his sons. He enjoyed motorcycles and boating. Most of all, Jerimy, loved spending time with his family; they were first and foremost in his life. He was always willing to volunteer his time to help others. He is survived by one daughter; Alexis Brockett of Terra Haute, Indiana, two sons; Jerimy Brockett, Jr. of Burlington, Jordan Brockett of Burlington, IA. His parents, Roger Brockett and Maleia of Lomax, Illinois and Larry Lain and Cheryl of Oquawka. Five brothers; Roger Brockett Jr and Lori of West Burlington, Mike Lain and Heather of Oquawka, Heath Andrews of Lomax, Shawn Lain and Tianna of Oquawka and Hogan Brockett of Lomax. Three sisters; Billie Jo Lambertsen and Todd of Gladstone, Amber Brockett of Lomax, and Amanda Brockett of Lomax. Also surviving is one grandfather; Bill "Bub" Bundy, his significant other, Angela Linneman and several aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Harve "Hap" Brockett and Darline, Jeaninne Bundy, Haze. Bundy, and Mike Lain and Darline. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., July 28, 2008, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka. Interment will be in Carman Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka where his family will be present. A memorial fund is being established for the education of his three children.
