John O. Smith

John Oren Smith, 61, a proud Army veteran and lifelong hard worker, passed away unexpectedly in his home.

He was devoted to his family and lived a simple life cheering for his favorite Chicago sports teams, listening to music, collecting antiques and spending time with loved ones. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him well. John will be cremated, and a memorial service for close friends and family will be held at a later time.

Born in Galesburg, IL October 1, 1962 to Raymond L. “Butch” Smith and Bette Smith (McGahey).

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenny and son, Logan.
