Joyce Ann Thompson

Joyce Ann Thompson, age 63, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Monmouth, died on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11:47 pm at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on December 12, 1951 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Lawrence and Anna Belle (Waller) McCoy. She was reared and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School. Joyce was employed for a time at Glastex in Monmouth. Joyce is survived by her mother, Anna Belle McCoy, two sons; James P. Davis of Monmouth and Michael D. Brewer of Monmouth, grandson Zachery Brewer, granddaughter Faith Davis, and daughter-in-law Carol Davis of Galesburg. She is preceded in death by her father and husbands Michael Simkins and Dwane Brewer. Services:Funeral Services are planned for 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Her family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established for the Salvation Army of Galesburg, Illinois.
