Juanita M. Purchase

Juanita M. Purchase, age 95, of Rozetta, Illinois; passed away at 8:15 am on August 7, 2012 at the Emergency Room of OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. She was born on April 14, 1917 in Abingdon, Illinois and is the daughter of Charles and Nora Kane Dykeman. She was raised in rural Knox County where she attended school. She was married to Lawrence E. Purchase on December 7, 1940 in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her on May 9, 1963. Juanita was a homemaker in her own home. She first was employed as a seamstress at Blue Bell in Abingdon, Illinois for a time. She also was a livestock farmer in the Rozetta area raising chickens, hogs, cattle, and sheep. Juanita also served as a Tax Assessor for Rozetta Township. She worked also for the Western Illinois Home Health Care. Juanita also was in sales selling Raleigh Products in the area until the present. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the boat. Juanita is survived by her son Henry L. (Nancy) Purchase of Oquawka, Illinois and five grandchildren Jeff (Becky) Purchase of Burlington, Iowa; Eddy Purchase of Rozetta, IL; Jill ( fiance Cory ) Smith of Abingdon, IL; Ashley Purchase of Eau Claire, WI; and Abby Purchase of Oquawka, IL. There are two great grandchildren surviving. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Monday morning at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. Her family plans visitation with her family receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm Interment will be in the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery in Monmouth. A memorial fund is being established for either the Oquawka Ambulance Service or the Biggsville Fire Department.
