Judy M Davis

Judy M. Davis, age 40, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at OSF St.Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois on Friday evening May 23, 2025 at 7:30 pm. Judy was born on March 7, 1985 in Aledo, Illinois and is the daughter of  James R. Cooper and Janet M. Bibee. She was raised in Monmouth where she attended Harding Elementary School and Monmouth High School. She also attained her General Education Degree. Judy married Corey L. Dawson on August 18, 2016 in Burlington, Iowa and he is surviving her. Judy has been self employed locally cleaning homes and has tended bar at various bars in the area. She loved crafting and listening to music, cooking, and most of all her family. Her time at the kids table was her favorite place to be. She is survived by her husband, Cory L. Dawson of Galesburg, Illinois, and two sons, Mykail Davis of Iowa City, Iowa and Donivan Davis of Galesburg, Illinois Her sister survives, Anna Cooper and brother, James Arteaga and Shirley both of Galesburg, Illinois  She is preceded in her death by her parents, one brother Juventino Arteaga, sister Tonya Fye.

As were her wishes, Judy is in the care of Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth and is to be cremated. A celebration of her life is planned by her family at a later date.
