Julia A. "Judy" Lovdahl

Julia A. " Judy " Lovdahl, age 84, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at her Monmouth residence on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 6:40 am She was born on November 10, 1926 in Warren County, and is the daughter Edgar V. and Edith V. Murell Icenogle. Judy was raised in Warren County where she attended school and graduated from Monmouth High School. She married John W. Lovdahl on June 13, 1944 in Monmouth, Illinois and he preceded her in death. Judy was a homemaker and loving mother to her family. She was known for baby sitting area children in her home which she did for many years. She also was known for remembering many on their birthdays. She enjoyed gardening and her family mattered the most to her. She was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Monmouth and for many years taught Sunday School. She is survived by her daughters Mrs. Roger (Joy) Johnson of Monmouth, Illinois and Janet Lovdahl of Lincoln, Illinois. She has six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. There are three sisters Barbara (Creighton) Lovdahl of Monmouth, Reva Zielke of Alexis, Illinois, and Janice (Larry) Rader of Galesburg, Illinois surviving. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and one sister. Services:A funeral service will be on Saturday June 11, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Her family plans to receive friends from Noon on Saturday until the time of service (2:00 pm) at Turnbull Funeral Home prior to the service. Interment will be in the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established and will be designated later.
