Jytone Johnson Morgan

Jytone Johnson Morgan, 53, of Galesburg, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at home. Jytone was born March 11, 1959 in Chicago, the daughter of Willie Watson.  Jytone is survived by her mother, Willie Watson of Galesburg; four sons, Adrian Johnson, Darius (Nicole) Johnson, Antonio and Devonte Johnson all of Galesburg; two daughters, Nicole S. Johnson and Javona Johnson both of Galesburg; two brothers,  Anthony (Dorothy) Johnson, Sr. of Peoria and Dyrell (Nakita) Alfred of Galesburg; two sisters, Loreaca (Charles Grant) Ferguson and Sheila Alfred both of Galesburg; and eleven grandchildren.  she is also survived by a very special friend, Larry Brown of Galesburg; four step sons, Chad Morgan of Peoria, Timothy Morgan, Victor Morgan, and Jeffrey Morgan all of North Carolina; a step daughter, Felicia (Leon) Morgan Pace of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Loreaca Kyser. Jytone worked as a CNA for over 25 years, working in many different health care facilities last working at Marigold Health Care Center.  She was a very active member of Community Temple Church of God, where she was the assistant of the women’s department at the church and helped with fundraising.  Jytone was a foster parent for most of her adult life.  She loved to organize family and social events, giving back to the community and helping the elderly. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Community Temple Church of God in Christ in Galesburg.  Pastor C. Doss will officiate.  Burial will follow in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the funeral service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Watson-Thomas Funeral Home.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg.
