Karen K. Hart

Karen K. Hart, age 66, of Monmouth, passed away Thursday morning, April 8, 2010 at the OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth. She was born May 15, 1943 in Highland , Illinois and is the daughter of Laurel and Dorothy Enloe Wise. Karen was raised and educated in Greenville, IL. and graduated from Greenville High School in 1961. She was married to Richard Hart on March 10, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Karen was an Administrative Assistant in the law enforcement field for over 26 years working in the Warren County Sheriff's Department. She also was employed as secretary in the Warren County States Attorney's Office. She also worked part-time as the bailiff in the Warren County Courtroom. Karen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, and enjoyed her Thursday Night dinner group and traveling. She is survived by her husband Richard Hart of Monmouth, her mother Dorothy Wise of Greenville, Illinois , a brother Howard (Katy) Wise of Greenville, Illinois, three daughters Marcia (Curtis) Difuntorum of Kirkwood, Illinois, Emily Kapity of Vancouver, Washington, Tracie Starr of Normal, Illinois, two sons Greg (Mandi) Hart of Dekalb, Illinois, Adam Hart of Little York, Illinois, grandchildren Ryan (Laura) McLaughlin, Logan McLaughlin, Kaylee McLaughlin, Tanner Starr, Taylor Starr, Jenna Hart, Hannah Hart, Cameron Despriet, great grandchild Laney McLaughlin. She was preceded in death by her father Laurel Wise. Services:A funeral service will be on Monday April 12, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth,Illinois at 10:30 a.m. Her family will be present Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Turnbulls to receive friends. A memorial fund has been established for the Rainbow Riders Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center.
