Kathryn M. Clark

Kathryn M. Clark, age 84, of Monmouth, Ill., passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Ill. Kathryn was born on October 9, 1924, in Monmouth the daughter of Orin and Hannah Doyle Abbott. Kathryn attended Monmouth Public Schools. She married Charles D. Clark on December 23, 1970, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1987. Kathryn was a homemaker in her own home. For a time she was employed first at Wilson Foods in Monmouth and then Admiral Corporation in Galesburg. she was also employed as a housekeeper in Galesburg Holiday Inn. Kathryn enjoyed puzzle books. Kathryn is survived by on daughter, Barbara Deisinger (Clarence) on Monmouth, one son, Samuel Strange (Pam) of Des Moines, Iowa and numerous Grand, Great Grand and Great Great Grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Peggy Abbott of Avon, Ill., Connie Emery (Don) of Galesburg, Patricia Palmer of Texas and one brother Bill Abbott (Sonya) Abbott of Avon and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Charles she is preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, and three brothers, two sons and one daughter. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery in Monmouth. Kathryn's family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turnbull's.
