Kathryn N. See Henderson

Kathryn N. See Henderson, age 100, died on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 6:58 am at the Roseville Nursing and Rehab Center in Roseville, Illinois. She was born on December 18, 1912 in rural Lenox Township of Warren County, the daughter of Royal F. and Kathryn A. Miller. She attended schools in the Lenox Township Grade School and graduated from Monmouth High School. Kathryn also attended Monmouth College for two years majoring in business. She married Elroy H. See in January of 1937 at the Fairview Center Church and he preceded her in death. Kathryn later married Lloyd L. Henderson at the Fairview Center Church and he preceded her also. She was employed as a sales clerk at Spurgeons and later, Bowman Colwells department store, both in Monmouth, Illinois. Kathryn was involved in the "Red Hatters" here in Monmouth. She was actively involved at the Fairview Center Church where she was recently honored as a "Centurion". Kathryn enjoyed playing cards, travel, and crafts. She very much enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. With pride and joy, Kathryn enjoyed the title of "Nana" from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathryn is survived by two grandsons; Joseph L. (Marci) Switzer and William H. Switzer (Janet). Also surviving are four great-grandchildren; Kylie, Blake, Emily, and Addisyn. Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands, and one daughter Sandra Switzer. Services:A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Visitation, with the family receiving friends at the funeral home will be held on July 5, 2013 from 10:00-11:00am. Interment will follow the service at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Fairview Center Church.
