Kenneth G. "Butch" Hass, 64, of Oquawka, passed away at 10:10 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2008, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, Illinois. Kenneth was born on October 24, 1943 in Macomb, Illinois. He is the son of Kenneth James and Margret Mae Miller Hass. He was reared and educated in the Monmouth area, and attended Monmouth Public Schools. Kenneth served his country in the United States Air force from 1961 to 1965. Butch started work with his father at the B.G "Blue Goose". in Oquawka. He also worked at a number of other local establishments in Oquawka, Illinois. He enjoyed playing cards and the companionship of his pets. He is survived by two brothers; Alan Hass of Port Aransas, Texas and Leonard Hass and Anne of Oquawka. Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Jennifer, Connor, Cameron Hopkins, and Tyler, Dusty, Haley Hass. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services:A graveside committal of ashes with full military honors will be Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Oquawka Cemetery. No calling hours are planned
