Kevin G. Moburg

Kevin G. Moburg, age 58, of Roseville, Illinois, passed away at 5:55 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008, at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. Kevin was born on November 2, 1949, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Gilbert M. and Marilyn L. Corzatt Moburg. He was spent his early life in Monmouth, and graduating from Rockford High School in 1968. He then attended four years of college and received his degree from Western Illinois University. Early on Kevin was a draftsman for the former Huskee Built Buildings in Monmouth, for a number of years. He often helped out on the farms of his relatives doing farm work. He also enjoyed computers and often helped friends and neighbors solve problems with their computers. Kevin enjoyed genealogy and compiled a book on the family genealogy for all to enjoy. Kevin is known to be a friend to everyone he met. Surviving is his mother, Marilyn Moburg Peterson and Max of Knoxville, Illinois, two sisters, Jackie Mitchell and Tracy of Cameron, Illinois and Sharon Wessels of Jacksonville, Illinois. Three brothers, Jerry Peterson of South Carolina, Steve and Debbie Moburg of Rockford, and Jeff and Sherri Moburg, both of Rockford. Also surviving are a number of loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding Kevin in death is his father Gilbert Moburg. Services:A graveside interment service of his ashes will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth. His family will receive friends at the Cemetery prior to the funeral service on Wednesday. A memorial fund is being established by his family. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
