Kimberly S. Nees, age 42, of Monmouth, passed away at 5:00 a.m., Sunday, December 12, 2010 at her home. She was born on February 26, 1968 in Aledo, IL, the daughter of Brent and Cindy Young Henry. Kim was reared and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1986. She married John Klingler on June 18, 1990 in Monmouth. Kim was currently employed at Dews Diner in Smithshire, IL. Previously she was the assistant manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Monmouth for 3 years. Kim loved basketball and was an avid L.A. Lakers and Allen Iverson fan. She also enjoyed music. Most of all Kim enjoyed spending time with her children and grandson. She was known for her sense of humor and smile. Surviving Kim are her parents Thomas Nees (Cindy) of Monmouth and Brent Henry (Cindy) of Oquawka, IL. One daughter Miriha Klingler of Monmouth, two sons; Nicholas Klingler and Jon "Alec" Klingler both of Monmouth. Also surviving is one grandson Aiden Reed of Monmouth, three sisters; Sara Nees (Jason Carlson) of Viola, IL, Bobbie Nees of Monmouth, and Lisa Willett (larry) of Monmouth and Significant other Mark Roach of Monmouth. Three grandparents; Esther Reckhemmer of West Burlington, Ia., and Roberta Henry of Oquawka, and Leon Henry of Oquawka. Nieces and nephews; Bryce Willett, Dalton Willett, Derek Nees, Rhett Willett, and Sophie Carlson. She was preceded in death by her great grandfather John Young and grandparents, Bill and Martha Nees. Services:A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Her family will be present from Noon until the time of the service on Friday to receive friends at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
