L. Roxie Camp

L. Roxie Camp, age 75, of Monmouth, passed away at 6:47 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth. She was born on January 28, 1936 in Friendsville, Ill. the daughter of Raleigh and Mary Shrader Solomon. Roxie was reared and educated in Mount Carmel, Ill. She married John Camp on August 22, 1953 in Mount Carmel, Ill., he survives. Roxie was a homemaker. She liked to garden, play cards, Yahtzee, fishing, and most of all she liked to spend time with her family and friends. Surviving Roxie is her husband John Camp of Monmouth, one daughter Mary Gray (Robert) of Monmouth, two grandchildren Alisha Marston (David) of Monmouth, and John Gray (Tania) of Oquawka, Ill., four great grandchildren; Nick Marston of Monmouth, Bridgette Marston of Monmouth, Brenton Gray of Oquawka, and Nichole Gray of Oquawka, Ill. She was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers. Services:A graveside funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth. A memorial fund has been established for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
