Larry D. Bogart

Larry Dean Bogart, 66, of Kirkwood, Illinois, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born December 15, 1941, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Harold and Suzanna Burdick Bogart. He married Diana Staff on August 27, 1967, in Galesburg, Illinois. Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Greg Bogart, of Rockford, Illinois, and his daughter, Jane Bogart, of Springfield, Illinois. Larry worked in various capacities of the retail grocery business, including ownership of stores in Kirkwood, IL and Biggsville, IL. He retired in July 2007. He was an Army veteran honoring the call of his county during the Vietnam War. Larry enjoyed his leisure time reading books, watching movies and spending time with his family. Everyone who knew him enjoyed his unique sense of humor. Services:Cremation has been accorded and burial will be at a later time. Memorials may be made to the Warren County Public Library in Monmouth, Illinois. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of arrangements.
