Laurie Ann Greene-Collins

Laurie Ann Greene-Collins, age 51, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois surround by her family. She was born April 5, 1965 to Pearl and Larry "Palsey " Greene of Oquawka, IL. Laurie first was employed at Lamont Manufacturing of Burlington, IA and after that worked more than thirty years and was a Supervisor in Shipping at Winegard Company also in Burlington. She was a longtime member of the Oquawka Eagles Club. Laurie is survived by her father Larry Greene of Oquawka, sister Terri Jerry Greene Silberer of Galesburg, brother Gary L. Greene of Oquawka, brother Bill Nichols of Gladstone, IL; and sister Gay Lynn Kevin Greene Hastings of Galesburg. She was a loving aunt to all of her Nieces and Nephews. Also surviving is her favorite dog, Maddie. She was preceded in death by her mother Pearl Greene. She was passionate about her family, her friends, and the Mississippi River, where she spent her entire life. Visitation Her family plans to receive friends from 9:30-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral Service A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, IL. Cremation will follow the service and interment will be at a later date. A memorial fund is being established by her family. Her family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at OSF St. Francis Medical Center for the care and treatment they gave during this difficult time.
