Leland M. Brimhall

Leland M. Brimhall, age 83, of Novi, MI, died on December 14, 2014 in Novi. Leland was born on January 27, 1931 in Woodstock, Illinois and is the son of Merle and Bessie Morse Brimhall. Leland was raised in Woodstock, Illinois where he received his schooling and graduated from Peoria High School in 1947. He then attended and graduated from Shurtleff College in Alton, Illinois. Leland began his youth ministry at the Baptist Church and then was the same in Topeka, Kansas. He moved to Detroit, Michigan where he was employed as youth minister until 1968 where he began work for the State of Michigan as Personnel Director at the Plymouth State Homes. Lastly he was employed by the Michigan Security Commission until his retirement. He is survived by four daughters, Susan Suomi, Marilee Cullen, Wanda Brimhall, and Angela (Daniel) Clingan. His son Jon Brimhall passed away in 2007. He has eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren surviving. Services:Upon his return to Illinois, a graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday December 20, 2014 at the Rozetta Cemetery in Rozetta, Illinois conducted by Reverend James Bennett. No visitation or viewing is currently planned.
