Leota M Myers

Leota Myers, 69, of Abingdon, Illinois, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 8:15 PM at Park Place in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. She was born July 24, 1942 in Adrian, Illinois. She was the daughter of Maurice and Francis Ellison. Mrs. Myers worked at Gleason for a number of years and enjoyed being a homemaker in her later years. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, babysitting the grandchildren, family outings and her pets. Survivors include her husband, Larry Myers (Abingdon), two daughters, Denise Williams (Indiana) and Debbie Augustine (Wever, Iowa); one son - Mike Holdefer (Mt. Pleasant, Iowa); four step-daughters - Paula Bess (Illinois), Angela Erwin (Illinois), Rhonda Holdefer (Mt. Pleasant), and Millicent Sanders (Illinois); three stepsons - Maurice Holdefer, Larry Myers, Jr. (Illinois), and David Myers (Illinois); 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren,9 brothers and 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister, two grandchildren, her parents and grandparents. Services:A gathering of family and friends will be at Turnbull Funeral Home on Saturday October 15, 2011 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Cremation was accorded.
