Lewis Edwin Bell, 64, of East Galesburg, passed away on May 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born on April 1, 1948 in Monticello, KY and is the son of Welby and Ethel Marcum Bell.. He attended school at Monmouth High School. On November 29, 1969 he married Bonnie Millard, she survives. Lewis worked at Gates Rubber Company in Galesburg, Ill. for 42 years. He was a practical joker with a great sense of humor. Lewis enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife. Lewis is survived by his loving Bonnie Bell, two sons; Joseph L. Bell (Kathryn) and Joshua W.( Carrie ) Bell. One daughter Jennifer Loraine, three granddaughters; Dierdra H. Roller (Jason), Melissa K.Bell, and Alicia H. Brown. Four grandsons; Andrew L. Bell, Pasha Bell-Frizzell, Aric Bell, and Joshure Fisher. Also surviving are two sisters; Alice Friday (Jerry) and Bonnie Bell (Indiana), six half brothers, and five half sisters. Numerous step brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services:Cremation will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be at Turnbull Funeral Home, Monmouth, Illinois on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established by his family.
