Linda S. Carlson, age 62, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 5:30 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at her residence. She was born May 3, 1958 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Burrel Loren and Phyllis Joann (Widdow) Moore. Linda attended school in Makinaw, Illinois. On July 15, 1977, she married Brian M. Carlson in Oquawka, Illinois and he is surviving. Linda was the bookkeeper of B&L Trucking, a family owned business. For a time, she owned and operated Barely Beautiful, designing and making her own handcrafted items. Linda enjoyed crafting and cooking, and was an accomplished seamstress. Mostly, she loved her grandchildren and family.

Linda is survived by her husband Brian of Oquawka, Illinois, three sons, Travis (Jennifer) Stoneking of Knoxville, Illinois, Eric (Gwendolyn) Carlson of Oquawka, Illinois, and Brian "BJ" (Andrea) Carlson, Jr. of Oquawka, Illinois, two sisters, Debra (Jim Gardner) O'hara of Springfield, Illinois, Becky (Terry) Girdzus of Crown Point, Indiana, and one brother, Tom (Linda) Moore of Creve Coeur, Illinois. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Isabella, McKenna, Jensen, Gage, Aiden, Eric Jr, and Grayson and her daughter-in-law Christy Carlson. She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Heather Carlson.

A graveside funeral service for Linda Carlson is planned for 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Oquawka Cemetery. A visitation is planned from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. The family will be present from noon until 1:00. A memorial is being established for the Oquawka Fire Department. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks will be required and social distancing will be encouraged.
