Linda Y. Fry

Linda Y. Fry, age 61, of Monmouth, passed away at 3:12 a.m., September 14, 2011 at her residence in Monmouth. She was born on April 4, 1950 in Monmouth, she is the daughter of Elmer and Sara Sickles Hull. She was reared and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1968. Linda was previously married to Don Vaughn and Marshall Fry. As a teenager, Linda worked at Melings Restaurant in Monmouth as a waitress. She then worked at the Bank of Rochelle in Rochelle, Ill., at Dick Blick in Galesburg, and finally as a bookkeeper at the Trust Bank of Monmouth. She was a member of the Farm Bureau and an avid animal lover. Linda is survived by her daughter Rachel Keele (Brook) of Des Moines, Ia., her companion of 21 years Don Peterson of Monmouth, mother Sara Hull of Monmouth, sisters Nancy Livingston of Monmouth and Madeline Swanson (Steve) of Alabaster, Al., and one brother Gary Hull of Monmouth. There are five nephews and four nieces also surviving. Linda was preceded in death by her father Elmer Hull, baby brother Michael and all four grandparents. Services:A graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth. Her family will be present to receive friends Wednesday evening at Turnbulls from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
