Linda L Riehm

Linda L. Swails Riehm, age 79, formerly of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away Friday November 16, 2018 in Killeen, Texas. Linda was born on March 2, 1939 in Kirkwood, Illinois and is the daughter of Hershel and Margaret Toops Swails. Linda was raised and educated in the Kirkwood, Illinois schools and graduated from the Kirkwood High School in the class of 1957. Linda married Donald Bearden in 1958 and he preceded her in death 2013. Linda was employed at Wesley Village of Macomb for a number of years as a health care worker. She is a devoted Grandmother, Great Grandmother and loved spening time with her family and friends. Linda moved to Texas in 2009 to be with her daughter. Linda loved to make ceramics for her friends and family. She always loved her pet Schnauzers her grandpuppies. Surviving is her daughter, Susan L. Mai of Killeen, Texas; son Steven (Amy) Bearden of Monmouth, Illinois. There are two granddaughters, Mindy and Amanda Bearden. Four great granddaughters, and two great grandsons. Her sister, Connie Banks of Galesburg, IL and Janis Ranes of Davenport, Iowa. Preceding her in her death is her parents, one brother, one great granddaughter. Cremation rites have been accorded in Killeen, Texas and Celebration of her life will be Sunday November 25, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Monmouth VFW Hall. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is established for the Western Illinois Animal Rescue of Monmouth, IL.
