Linda M. Rupert

Linda Marie Rupert, 72, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully at Allure of Lake Storey, Galesburg.

Linda was born on January 19, 1954, in Galesburg, Illinois, to Vernon Dale and Nova Betty (Wiese) Bean. She graduated from high school and continued her education at Carl Sandburg College, where she earned a degree in accounting.

Throughout her working life, Linda held several positions, including working as a clerk and secretary at First National Bank. She later worked at OMC Gale Products as well as in retail at Jacks, Shopko, and Target.

Linda married Robert Dean Rupert on August 16, 1975, in Galesburg. Her family was an important part of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy through her loved ones.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dean of Galesburg; her two daughters, Molly Rupert of Ankeny, Iowa, and Hannah Rupert of Peoria, Illinois; her brothers, Rick Bean of Dunlap, Illinois, and Mark Bean of Peoria Heights, Illinois; and her sisters, Sue (Robin) Johnson of Dunlap, Illinois, and Wendy (Don) Blue of Peoria, Illinois.

In her younger years Linda was active bowling and playing softball. She enjoyed reading and completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will be accorded. Family and friends will gather privately to bury her cremated remains at East Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg. No formal services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
