Linda L. Sells

Linda L.Sells, age 73, of Monmouth passed away Sunday, January 12th at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. Linda was born September 26, 1940 in La Harpe,Illinois and is the daughter of Warren C. and Arlene I. ( Gittings ) Nesbitt. She was raised in LaHarpe where she attended local schools. She first worked for several years at Western Stoneware Company in Monmouth, Illinois as a finisher. She also worked for Dave and Don Whiteside and their various businesses locally for a number of years. Lastly she worked as a Laundress at the Monmouth Nursing Home from which she retired in 2004. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, painting, crocheting, and making jewelry. She always loved her family first. She is survived by four daughters, Becky (Montroy) Linz, Billie Jo (Sells) Conchas, Barbara (Juan) Pinedo, and Brenda (Roger) Barron, all of Monmouth, Illinois. One son survives, Brad (Jani) Valdez of Smithshire, Illinois. Fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Bobby Sells, one grandson Joshua Valdez, one great grandson Andres Perez, and two brothers, Dick Nesbitt and Melvin Nesbitt. Services:Cremation has been accorded, and her family plans a visitation and funeral service at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois on Friday January 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Their visitation hour will be preceding the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Interment of her ashes will be at a later date. A memorial fund is established for St.Judes Children's Hospitals.
